14. Robota (funk gadget remix) CLP [Shitkatapult]

Greets after a long hiatus as Delay relocated from Melbourne to Berlin. Fresh tunes all the way in this mix featuring a couple of new discs. Highly recommended is the debut album from CLP (Chris De Luca of Funkstoerung & Phon.o). A great mix of messed up hip hop and club sounds with fresh emcees to boot. Also right up there is Brisbane’s Monster Zoku Onsomb. Obscure sounding name with an album of super fresh and very twisted take on 50’s schlock horror movies, rave, jungle, techno and psychobilly. An absolute must for the adventurous listener and dancer. Also great mew stuff from Kid 606, Luke’s Anger and Otto Von Shirac.

Turntable Radio

July 29th, 2008 by 'little rascal'

Folks

Turntable Radio - the world’s only radio show dedicated to scratching and turntablism.

Turntable Radio is a radio show dedicated entirely to turntablism. Created by Mr Trick, it began life in 2002 on London’s Resonance 104.4FM, airing from 10-11.30p.m. every Sunday night.

In addition to the FM airwaves presence shows were archived online, with a supporting portal site carrying news, updates, links and more from the worldwide scratch/tablism scene, and via this means the show has built up a colossal worldwide following - currently some 40,000 listeners.

Hype Machine

April 7th, 2008 by 'little rascal'

The Hype Machine follows music blog discussion. Every day, hundreds of people around the world write about music they love. Then it all ends up here. Explore!

What’s this radio thing?

Hype Radio is Internet radio that is powered by blogs. All the tracks that end up in the stream are songs recently mentioned by bloggers listed on the Hype Machine. It’s radio that’s truly powered by the Internet - Enjoy!

How does it work?

The Hype Machine tracks a variety of MP3 blogs. If a post contains MP3 links, it adds those links to its database and displays them on the front page.

Some of the frequently accessed tracks are cached by the Hype Machine server, much like Google Search caches web pages, to reduce load on the bloggers’ servers and protect their bandwidth.
Those tracks are NOT available for download, but you can preview them via the “listen” links that are next to each track or using your media player.

The blog that posted a particular track
is identified under every track by name and with a “read post” link that leads to the blog post itself. If you enjoyed a track someone posted, stop by and let them know!

You can purchase CDs and individual tracks by using the “amazon” and “itunes” links that appear next to most tracks. Each purchase you make via the Amazon and iTunes links supports both the artists and the Hype Machine. Please buy and enjoy.
