Pickle at The Heritage
Direct from Barcelona, Spain comes PICKLE - playing a surprise set at The Heritage around midnight tonight (Friday 28.11.08)..
Pickle is the production and performance name used by antipodean Brett Murdoch aka DJ Jerry Mane. Originally from the icy southern tip of New Zealand but has for the last five years been splitting his time between the tropical far north of Australia and the Mediterranean city of Barcelona.
The Pickle sound is a unique blend of quirky and found sounds spanning the electronic music genres of Techno, I.D.M, Ambient and electronica in general; always interested in new sounds and the ever evolving sound of electronic music which his own productions reflect.
Pickle sets range from ambient soundscapes, glitchy electronica, or deep/quirky/rump rumbling minimal house/techno depending on where he plays. Always one for pushing new sounds and the evolving sound of electronic music his new self titled demo album very much reflects this and showcases all the above music styles.
