For the first time Bare Dubs is pressing 12” records, now delivering 3 tracks from the Swedish producer L-Wiz. This is a very summery, chilled out release. The first track ‘Fruit Shop’ has some incredible piano skills with a reggae groove and a flowing sub bass line. ‘Pirates’ brings more energy with a rough synth lead and light bubbly piano to dub out the sound and create chilled out vibes. ‘Syrup Feeling’ sounds perfect for a movie with a very low sub bass line and the trumpet creates a relaxed vibe.

Lafamille Music informs you that now you can download Hotdrop’s first Lp “Ready”

Recorded at Bus Stop Records and Doppler Studio (Madrid) by Roberto Martínez and Antonio Monsalve, its originality is greatly due to its production, that was carried out by the band and the prolific Victor Rice (Estudio El Rocha, Brasil) known, among many musical aspects, for his productions of different bands as Slackers, Dr. Ring Ding con Senior All Stars, Firebug, o Version City Rockers. Mastering was carried out by Ibon Larruzea of Euridia, whose great experience in spanish reggae was warranty of having the final touch required for a powerful sound.

The LP has 12 original cuts, four of them were dub versions, signed by the unique Victor Rice’s style.

Walk Against Warming brings together people in cities and towns right across the country for Australia’s largest community day of awareness raising on climate change. Since its inception in 2005, Walk Against Warming has inspired and empowered close to 100 000 ordinary Australians to show their concern over climate change in over 30 locations across the nation.

Cairns was one of the first regional centres to host the event, with over 150 people attending the first year, and between 300 -400 people attending in 2006. This year we aim to have over 1000 people come together for a community walk through the centre of Cairns to show our concern about climate change impacts for our community and to call on our elected leaders to take stronger action to address this critical issue.

FNQ as a region is exposed to climate change on multiple fronts: extreme weather (cyclones, storm surge, flooding); coastal erosion and hillslope erosion and stability; health and diseases; damage to our reefs, upland rainforests and coastal environments; accessibility to remote areas; impacts on infrastructure; and consequent impacts on the economy, lifestyle and liveability of the region.

Walk Against Warming is a family friendly event which provides our community with the opportunity to come together and express their concern over climate change in a fun, positive and inclusive manner.

This years event will start from City walk through town ending up on the parkland next to the Lagoon. The event is being held two weeks before the Federal election to ensure political leaders of all persuasions are well aware of the community concern on this issue right across Australia.
