Was a great night folks! Everyone had a good night and there was some fantastic dub music to be had!
Lazarus began the dub with big love for the dub followed by Billy Dread with his fine selection and mixing of tunes that kept the punters grooving, Dub Rascals road tested some new material, Ombudsman kept the party rolling with some great dubwise tunes and the night ended with the fantastic live rock/reggae music of local band Black Rising - awesome.
Be prepared for more action at Dub In Tha Pub 16…!
Cairns punk vetrans, Meat Bikini deserve a mention for their dedication and love of all things punk music. Plus you can score a bunch of downloads from their myspace page..!
Don’t even ask what the name means… Make up yer own mind. Most of MB have been making a fucken racket for years in this dogforsaken end of the line town in bands like Fish Bum Lips, Bleeding Jelly Eyes, Mr Fidget, Fred The Baddy, One May Rise, The Headonists and even Dr Tickle & the 3 Speed Beef Probe! (for 1 gig anway!) Keep an eye out for our once yearly gig (sarcasm?, nah!) soon…..or not, who knows?

Join friends, family and other Australians in calling for urgent government action on climate change and be the voice for our environment and our children’s future. The next election will be too late.
We won’t know the exact date and details of the walks until the federal election is announced. So watch this space!: www.walkagainstwarming.org
There’s now overwhelming evidence that climate change will have serious economic, social and environmental impacts and threatens our quality of life. Climate change is the most challenging issue of our time.
Even though ordinary Aussies across the country are pitching in to reduce their own greenhouse gas emissions, this simply isn’t enough to stop climate change globally. We need governments, industries and the community to work together so we can see real reductions in greenhouse gas emissions.
So, to show our political leaders that Australians are deeply concerned about global warming, we can Walk Against Warming!
In 2007 Walk Against Warming will highlight the need for laws in place to reduce Australia’s greenhouse pollution, through:
- a reduction in energy use and energy efficiency
- a shift to renewable energy
- better public transport systems
- an end to land clearing and logging of old growth forests
- a price being placed on carbon pollution
Join thousands of other Aussies at a Walk Against Warming event near you to send a clear message to our political leaders – that the community wants bolder and more effective government action on climate change!
Because together we can tackle climate change, for the future of our planet, our children and our grandchildren.

THE EARTHDANCE MISSION
Our mission is to promote peace by joining participants worldwide in a synchronized PRAYER FOR PEACE and to support humanitarian causes through the global language of music and dance.
THE EARTHDANCE VISION
Our Vision is to inspire participation from promoters, clubs, artists, musicians, and peace-lovers worldwide to dedicate one day in support of humanitarian efforts and help unite people from all nations in a day of peaceful celebration.
SPREADING THE LOVE
Our objective is to create as many Earthdance events around the world as possible. From stadium concerts to living room gatherings, there are no conditions on how big or small an event has to be. With the advent of technology, Earthdance has extended our reach via the website, email outreach campaigns, and webcasting. Over 1,000,000 people have attended live Earthdance events since it began, and Earthdance is recognized as the world’s largest synchronized dance and music event for peace. Earthdance brings people from all races and cultures together and raises awareness and funds for many select causes.
Not only is the goal of Earthdance to join the global community in celebration of peace, but it also supports international and local charities around the world, and over $1,000,000 has been donated to charity since it began.
In the spirit of “Think Global, Act Local,†each local promoter is asked to donate at least 50% of their Earthdance event’s profits to a local charity of their choice. Each promoter also commits to include that charity in their event by giving them space to display information, and time to speak at the event.
To become an Earthdance promoter, go to www.earthdance.org and fill out the online promoter application. Each public event will have an official Earthdance webpage (i.e: www.earthdance.org/london). There are certain criteria that determine if an event is public or private.
For a complete list of Earthdance charities, locations, allied organizations, or to make a donation, please visit our website.
