>>>Always with the conscious dubbing on Bass Culture Players – ‘rascal recommended’

Sin papeles’ sees the light today, 15J, day against Detention Centers for migrants. No one is illegal.

Today solidarity is rebellion and sympathy transgression. Because they break barriers built up on legality and because they are fought by authorities with violence.’Sin papeles’ (‘without papers’ in spanish) means to defy. An invitation to acknowledge that so-called other side behind that line we are not supposed to cross. What they want us to ignore and not feel as equal. ‘Sin papeles’ is revealing a truth without discretion. ‘Sin papeles’ is, in addition, an exercise of collectivity, where Diemuba Cissé’s voice brings Musta Fall and Mamadou Dia lyrics to life, riding on Bass Culture Players riddim. Music has been recorded by diverse musicians, produced by Puppa Shan and finally brought together by Alchemy Dubs mastering. ‘Sin papeles’ is not yours, nor mine. It belongs to everyone that heads the way with the conviction we are all in the same boat.

Dubophonic netlabel: [DPH020] Mexican Stepper – Run Tell REMIXED

http://www.dubophonic.com/2015/03/dph020-mexican-stepper-run-tell-remixed.html

wpid-run-and-tell-front-cover-web.gif

One year after his first release on Dubophonic and following his recent European tour, the international artist from Mexico Yasser Serano, better known as Mexican Stepper, returns with another heavyweight track. Based on the same concept of the Mad Sunday EP, Yasser introduces his new tune “Run Tell” and calls in these times of tribulation the Peruvian singer Rebel-I for vocal assistance, running and telling to the four corners of the world that Babylon is falling down. Originally the title track has been included in Mexican Stepper’s digital LP “Piramide del Sol” from last year released on the French netlabel Original Dub Gathering.

Since Dubophonic likes to experiment and stir things together, we have called assistance from our extended family of artists and asked them to spread the conscious message of the tune in their own style and fashion. The result was twelve exclusive versions of the original tune, reconstructed and mixed all around the world, strengthening the bonds and proving one more time, that conscious dub music is an international thing. Among all versions there is one special dubplate by Mexican Stepper and five remixes by Injham (FR), Thriakis Dub Destroyer (FR), Koncrete Roots (UK), JahYu (GER) and Mr Zebre (FR), as well as six alternative cuts/dubs by Du3normal (HUN), Holy Sound Crew (FR), Murjah Warriors (ITA), Dubios (GER), Mr Mefistou (PR) and Ktopp (GER).

Which is your favourite? You may prefer Mr Zebre’s warrior style vibration or the rootically inspired remix of Thriakis Dub Destroyer. Perhaps it’s the organic skunking melody of the Murjah Warriors, armed with a mandolin and a melodica ina “Renaissance” steppa style, that will carry you away inna cloud of irieness … or the heavy vibrations of Koncrete Roots and Injham. Perhaps the correct question should be “Which one is our favourite?” Well, all twelve versions are heavy enough to set Babylon on fire. So play them LOUD! It remains to you to discover the vibes hidden behind each version!

SPIRAL SOUNDSYSTEM – ‘where we’ve come from’ EP

catalog #: LRRD120113EP

track listing:

No War Steppa

Progressing to the Future

Where we’ve come from (where are we going?)

Kava Dub

description:

Spiral Soundsystem third EP release on his own label Little Rascal Records brings forward thinking dubwise electronic music productions. Each track showcases a special message for all listeners to ponder and be engaged in.

Track one, No War Steppa presents an excerpt from the speech given by Dr Steven Greer of the Disclosure Project (www.disclosureproject.com). It is a warning for humanity to not bring weapons to space or in any present and future cosmic endeavours by humans from Earth.

Track two is a remix version of an older unreleased spiral soundsystem track, TV Beats. The remix also uses samples from an even older track taken from debut LP ‘Welcome To The Spiral Soundsystem’, 2002. The track prompts the listener to be ‘progressive to the future’ with an open mind.

Track three samples permaculture pioneer, Bill Mollisson from the CD, Funding the Revolution recorded in Perth, WA in 1985 by Jeff Nugent. Bill is talking about Information Technology, spades and economic strategies for change and the urgent need to act. Sit back and listen, but don’t sit for long, You are needed in the revolution! For more Bill Mollisson audio and permaculture info, go to: www.permacultureplants.net

Track four is a previously unreleased track made with LOVE and a touch of the intoxicating and muddy drink Kava. Produced in Cairns, Far North Queensland. “The message is in the music”.

LRRecords can also make quality, exclusive, custom and personalised cassette tapes of the EP for a special price. Please contact me personally for hard-copy EP on cassette.

ABOUT “CLASH OF THE TITANS”
The concept for this new release materialised in the summer of 2010: on a tropically hot (hot as hades) summer evening in Toronto, Dubmatix and Karsten Frehe (Irie Ites Music) came up with the idea and immediately set about contacting some of the world’s premier dubheads and have them get involved and contribute remix. What was to be just a 12” Vinyl release expanded into a Double 12” Vinyl Release, CD Release and Digital release. Dubmatix contributed an alternate version the Dennis Alcapone track “Struggle”.The resultant release is multifaceted, ranging from roots dub to steppers, more experimental approaches such as dubstep and future dub.Dub has always been open for new styles and ideas! The voices featured on “System Shakedown” also put in an appearance: The Mighty Diamonds, Tippa Irie, Dennis Alcapone, Kulcha Ites, Jay Douglas, The Ragga Twins, Ammoye, Brother Culture and U Brown all feature with vocal parts, embellishing and enriching the futuristic sounds and vibes. Over the past months a great work has emerged and it is now poised to go straight to the hearts and feet of dubheads all over the world.
“This is a release that’s guaranteed to smash up the place! TurnTableTerrorist say so!!!” (WLUW Chicago – USA)
